Mongo DB – Account Crea1on and setup

1 – Create a free account at h/ps://www.mongodb.com/

1.1 Fill out this form

1.2 You might get a screen like this. You can just click “Skip” at the bo/om of the page

2 – Select the Shared Clusters (FREE!) and move forward with the default selecJon

Cloud Provider: AWS

Region: N. Virginia

Click : Create Cluster

3 – Please go to the “Clusters” tab on the leQ hand side: It will take some minutes aQer clicking on Create Cluster. Your

Sandbox will be greyed out for a few minutes, unJl the Cluster fully deploys.

4 – When finished, you will be able to select Connect

5 – Click on Add you Current IP Address, and

6 –Add IP Address. Keep the informaJon.

7 – Create a Cluster User and click on Choose a connecJon method

8. We are going to load sample data (that includes the AirBnb data):

Click on the 3 dots (…) and then click “Load Sample Dataset” This step will most likely take 20-30 minted as there is a lot

of data being loaded.
