Assessment Description:
There are two assessments in this course, which when submitted together complete a comprehensive definition
of your project’s immersive learning strategy. This first assessment is focused on defining and planning the
experience and the second assessment is focused on implementation, monitoring performance, feedback and
assessment.
Assessment 1 requires you to inform the reader of your intent for using Immersive Learning techniques on your
project idea. This idea may be from your workplace, a new idea or an imaginary case. The submission should at a
minimum include sections covering:
• Learning strategy that defines the use and advantage achieved with immersive technologies
• The learning outcomes that will be achieved for a specific learner
• The mechanism by which immersive learning is achieved, its fidelity and validity should be discussed
• The value proposition, how and why will it achieve learning outcomes. How does the use add value and
create an improvement to the delivery of the learning objective?
• A plan of how the application will be delivered

The submission is to be in a formal report style (there will not be a final presentation), the structure should permit
the inclusion of the second assessment to complete the overall analysis and recommendations. It is understood
that the submitted piece will appear incomplete.
To complete the assessment:
1. Select a real learning task/experience.
2. Each week, you will be asked to work through a task that will form a part of your assessment:
a. Week 1: Learning Strategy
b. Week 2: Learning Outcome
c. Week 3: Learning Mechanism
d. Week 4: Learning Value Proposition
e. Week 5: Learning Management Plan
3. Compile the content from the weekly tasks in a report to form your Assessment 1 submission in a
