FinTech SWOT Guidelines -CASE7 / CASE8
Conducting a SWOT analysis for a Fintech case study involves assessing the company's Strengths,
Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Begin by evaluating internal factors (Strengths and
Weaknesses) and external factors (Opportunities and Threats). Utilize financial data, market outlook, and
industry insights provided by the case study to inform your analysis. Brainstorm with your group members
to gain diverse perspectives. Identify key trends, competitive advantages, operational challenges, and
regulatory influences regarding technologies that are specific to the banking and finance sector.
The following table provides a general example that could help identify components with your SWOT

Submission Instruction and Format:
Prioritise and develop an action plan - Individual submission (900 words- excluding
bibliography and cover page)
The preferred format of presenting your findings is “Table”. See an example at the end of this
document.
Once the SWOT analysis is complete, identify the key areas that need attention and develop an action
plan to address them. This could include steps such as:
● Prioritize Objectives: Start by categorizing SWOT findings into strategic objectives. Focus on
addressing Weaknesses and leveraging Strengths, while capitalizing on Opportunities and
mitigating Threats.
● Develop Strategies: Formulate detailed action plans and strategies for each goal. Consider
timelines, responsibilities, and financial and non-financial performance indicators to measure
progress.
Higher quality submissions will include a minimum of two scholarly references in the action plan to
support best practices suggested in the plan.

• Exclude bibliography and cover page before the word count.
Submission • Via Moodle Assignment Submission.
Late Penalties • 10% deduction per calendar day or part thereof for up to two days.
• Submissions more than 2 calendar days after the due date will receive a mark
of zero (0) and may not receive assessment feedback(except those with
approved SC)
