Thissubjectintroducesthebusinesspracticesofthemusicindustry.
Aspectsofcopyright,marketing,law,management,contracts,sales,distribution,ownership,
andmerchandisingwillbeexaminedinrelationtoareassuchastouring,recordingdeals,digital
streaming,liveperformance,musicplacementinfilm,TV,sportandadvertising,videoclipsand
videogames.Thissubjectisdeliveredonlineasalecturefeaturinghigh-levelmusicindustry
guestsilluminatingthefundamentalsofthemusicindustry.
Eachlecturewillbeassessedbyweeklyonlinequizzesandstudentswillselectonetopicfor
specialisationforthefinalassignment.

Oncompletionofthissubject,studentsshouldbeableto:
