Background
The primary objective of this course is to apply the advanced concepts of crisis management to the issues, opportunities and decisions facing a manager when her organization is facing an emergency or crisis.
Assignment Description
For this assignment, you will paint a somewhat detailed picture of an organization that you are choosing to be involved with in the event of an emergency or disaster (hereafter, the focus organization) as follows:
• The focus organization can be formal or informal, real or imaginary. Examples of focus organizations include private, non-profit, public, faith-based or voluntary agencies or companies.
• Prepare and submit an executive brief (no more than one page) that lists the key characteristics of your focus organization
• You must have, or develop, an in depth knowledge of your focus organization and include an chart that depicts the key departments or mission areas and their relationship to each other and to the executive
• A template focus organization profile is attached and we will discuss an example in class.
