Background: 
The objective of this assignment is to evaluate the Wrexham County
Borough Council’s ICT and Digital Strategy, 2020-2023. You should
investigate the ITIL Service Management governance framework
and evaluate the structure and content of the Wrexham County
Borough Council’s ICT and Digital Strategy, 2020-2023 against the
goals and objectives of the ITIL Service Management governance
framework.
Specifically, this assessment has three main parts:
• Evaluate the Wrexham County Borough Council’s ICT and
Digital Strategy, 2020-2023 against relevant criteria and
guidelines that are derived from the ITIL Service Management
governance.
• Make recommendations that you consider relevant to the
Wrexham County Borough Council’s vision in this ICT and
Digital Strategy on issues related to the ongoing management
of ICT Infrastructure that could be further pursued by the
Council within the stated context of the ICT and Digital
Strategy.
• Justify those recommendations, based on the outcomes of
your analysis of the ICT & Digital Strategy, on principles and
guidelines from ITIL, and from references to other published
sources.
Do not simply be critical but consider which principles and
guidelines from the ITIL governance framework are relevant to the
objectives, goals, and context of the ICT & Digital Strategy.
To conduct this review, you are expected to focus on evidence that
illustrates the Wrexham County Borough Council’s approach to the
management of the ICT infrastructure being proposed in the plan.
• You are expected to produce an ICT Infrastructure Evaluation
Report in the format shown in the supplied template for
assignment A01. Your report should also address the Intended
Learning Outcomes for the assignment (ILO2, ILO3 and ILO4),
as detailed in the Subject
• You are expected to restrict your evaluation of Wrexham
County Borough Council’s ICT and Digital Strategy, 2020-2023
to the context and scope of this plan.

• You should restrict your evaluation to the context and scope of
the Wrexham County Borough Council’s ICT and Digital
Strategy, 2020-2023.
• You may make relevant assumptions in your evaluation of the
plan and must include those assumptions as explicit
statements in your evaluation
• You should state the specific key findings from your evaluation
of the Wrexham County Borough Council’s ICT and Digital
Strategy, 2020-2023.
• You should make recommendations on the revision of the
Wrexham County Borough Council’s ICT and Digital Strategy,
2020-2023.
• Your report must specifically address the tasks stated in the
objectives of this.

Through this report you need to demonstrate that you have the
knowledge and skills to:
• Demonstrate an awareness of current ICT governance
frameworks and their relevance to the development of ICT
infrastructure management plans and proposals [ILO2];
• Analyse current ICT infrastructure management plans and
practice, and assess their degree of alignment with enterprise
business & strategic goals [ILO3];
• Demonstrate an understanding of the need for the
achievement of interoperability in enterprise-wide ICT
infrastructures [ILO4].

This assignment will be assessed according to the following
weighted criteria:

References 
You must include a Reference list at the end of your report. Entries
in the Reference list should be sorted alphabetically by author, then
by year of publication for works by the same author(s).  Every single
idea you borrow from someone else should be cited in your
Reference list, and where possible should include the page number
from the source. Quotations, if used, should be in quotation marks
(“…”) and should be EXACT.
You MUST use Harvard style referencing.
