The following test includes a subset of questions to allow students to prepare for the
format and style of questions that they may face in the nal exam.  You will see that the
questions include dierent types (mutliple choice, numerical data entry, matching, and
jumbled sentences). You will see that there are some ROS questions that won't be
assessed in this year's exam (this was done through the lab assignments), but as the
purpose is to demonstrate examples of question format, style, and length that should be
very valuable.   
Also note that dierent questions receive dierent amount of marks which scale with the
question diculty and the expected time required to complete each question.  Note that
this mock only includes 6 questions as a sample whereas the real exam will include 20
questions. 
The mock question will remain available until Tuesday 1st June 09:00 BST - one hour
ahead of the nal exam.
You should be able to take the test repeatedly until Tuesday 1st June 09:00 BST.
QUESTION 1
A battery-powered autonomous vacuum cleaner is used in a two-story
home (that is, it has an upper and a lower oor). The vacuum cleaner
takes 48 minutes of vacuuming time to clean the ‘top oor’ and 91
minutes of vacuuming time to clean the larger ‘lower oor’. 
The vacuum cleaner has an associated dock that is used to charge the
autonomous vacuum cleaner. Before a clean starts the battery is fully
charged to provide the maximum run time of 40 minutes. The robot
factory settings state that if the robot has to return to the dock to
recharge midway through a clean, then it should recharge for 120
minutes.
