Cinquieme Generation Technology has a total of 64 unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for rent to vessels at the Singapore maritime drone estate. The booking fees for the use of UAS at the sea is $300 per day. All fees are 100% refundable if the user does not show up to claim the usage. The fixed cost (the cost that does not change with the number of UAS in used, such as radio system operating costs, etc) per day is $1000. The variable cost (the additional cost for UAS in used) per day is $150 per UAS. (i) Create a spreadsheet that calculates the total profit based on the number of rentals. What is the total profit if Cinquieme Generation Technology is operating with 64 UAS after having 72 bookings for a day, assuming all 72 users show up to claim the usage? (iii) If 80 bookings are accepted, the number of users expected to show up to claim usage can be approximated by a normal distribution with a mean of 68 and standard deviation of 5. Therefore, if Cinquieme Generation Technology accepted 80 bookings for a day, what is the probability that the number of users who show up to claim the usage will result in an overbooking? (iv) Continuing with the same distribution, what is the probability that less than or equal to 60 users show up to claim the usage? Question 2 Use dataset (1), (2) and (3) to answer this question. Write a report, in 750 to 1000 words, for the following cases. In your report, describe the detailed steps on how you perform the statistical calculation. Summarise your report with your analysis findings. (i) Describe, in at least 100 words, the background of the respondents and what does each column means in the data. (ii) Describe, in at least 100 words, the types of sampling methods used, and comment on the suitability and accuracy of the sampling methods used.
