We will assign peer reviews once the submission deadline for the draft has passed. You will be required to complete two peer reviews. You must submit your Descriptive Writing Draft essay on time to be eligible for completing the peer reviews. Draft grades will be primarily based on the completeness of your essay as well as the thoroughness of your peer reviews. For each peer review, you must: 1. Complete the rubric You must follow this order or you will lose access to your peers’ papers before you have completed your reviews. Points for Peer Review: • Draft: 5 pts • Edit Marks: 10 points • Rubric: 5 pts • Comment/Summary: 5 pts Questions to Consider: 1. Is the topic of the paper professional in nature? 2. Does the paper explain a process (how to fit a steer, how to plant a flower bed, etc.) or a significant event (first experience at a state fair, vacation, etc.) that happened to your peer? 3. Was a SPECIFIC topic chosen? • For example, instead of describing their entire baseball career, they should focus on their first baseball game. There is an example of the Descriptive Final Essay rubric provided on the next page.
