In addition to the document “Format & Textuality”, published in Blackboard, below is a purely exemplary list
of the points that can be developed:
• Contextualization
• The concept: evaluation, narrative potential, originality, appeal and engagement
• Gamification, Playful vs dramatic, Game typologies
• Triggers: identification, analysis, model of functioning and effectiveness
• Rituals
• Realityfication
• Storytelling and narrative arc
• Production model
• Schedule
• Digital and social extension
• Audience and reception (social response, critical reviews)
• Similarities with other programs
• Comparative analysis
• Adaptability to the market
• Personal considerations and evaluation
As said, the list is merely indicative: it is optional and not exhaustive; not all the points indicated above
must necessarily be developed; other focuses of attention can be proposed.
The adoption of a precise perspective of analysis is encouraged: this can be made explicit starting from the
title of the paper.
It is worthy of merit to give the analysis a personal slant, for instance through grids and models learnt from
readings or along the course of study, with the purpose to get a deeper understanding of the assigned
topic.
